Cardiovascular
disease is a complex, lifelong condition that requires, at times, complex
therapy, both technological and medical. Additionally, many patients have
multiple risk factors such as high blood pressure and diabetes that
also require complex medical treatments. Almost all patients will be on
multiple medications. Understanding your medications is important and can help
assure that your treatment is both effective and safe. These are some links to
sites from which you can get information regarding medications. Some provide
information on supplements and natural medicines
Please be aware that all medications have potential side
effects and interactions. If you feel that any of the information you obtain on
your medications indicates this as a potential problem you should ask your
physician about it before changing any medication without advice.
